Happy Birthday Tintoretto!

To Celebrate the 500thh Anniversary of the birth of Jacopo Tintoretto (one of the most important Venetian Painters!  1519-1594) the city of Venice in collaboration with Musei civici, Washington’s National Art Gallery, Scuola Grande di San Rocco, and Curia of Venice will organise a major exhibition.

From the 7th September 2018 to 6th January 2019 you will be able to admire many of his operas at Accademia Art Galleries and at Palazzo Ducale, then starting from February 2019 the exhibition will move to Washington. The two venues already have few of his operas (and other one can be found in other venetian museums and churches), but other will come from other private and public collection throughout the world.


The exhibition at Palazzo Ducale (organised by Robert Echols and Frederick Ilchman) is focused on his latest years whilst the Academy exhibition will focus on the previous years of Tintoretto’s creative process.

How to reach us

In the most central part of the city and overlooking from its front the Basin of St Mark and only a short walk away from the Square. 

It is easily reachable thanks to the public transport that stop only few meters away from the entrance and also thanks to the private docking that we have, if you arrive by taxi.
